Support a community institution with levy vote this August

I love libraries! My earliest memory of the Kitsap Regional Library came in September 1980 when I got my library card at the Sylvan Way branch. Since getting my library card in 1980 I’ve used the services of and attended programs at the Kitsap Regional Library. Whether attending summer concerts on the lawn with my family, taking my son to baby story time, finding books to research topics for classes I took, hearing authors talk about their newest book, participating in summer reading programs, or finding my next great read, the library has been there for me.

The library board is asking for a modest levy lid lift to help maintain services and programs that benefit all citizens of Kitsap County. Current revenue hasn’t kept pace with inflation or rising costs to operate and provide services to library patrons. I’m excited for the opportunity to support our amazing public library by voting yes on the library levy which will be on the August 5 ballot this summer.

I urge you to join me in helping maintain a great library system. See you at the library!
