Last Saturday, 65 KUUF members and friends gathered at KUUF for our Visioning Retreat. Led by Rev. Carol McKinley, we were humming with ideas and inspiration for what KUUF will be in five years. We filled twenty poster sheets with wonderful ideas. Those ideas will be passed to the "Dream Team" (as Rev. Carol called them) of Rowan Braybrook, Eric Howlett, Liz Roberts, Josh Sellers, and Katherine Woods, who will draft a Vision Statement from those ideas. The congregation will get to review their work at our two budget review meetings after our worship services on April 12th and 19th, and then vote to approve our new Vision Statement at our annual Congregational Meeting on April 26th. Our new Vision Statement will be the GuideStar as we work together this year to create our next five-year strategic plan.
Many thanks to those who made our Visioning Retreat such a success: Rev. Carol McKinley, Eric Howlett (working on the questions we addressed) and Verneda Byron (organizing the lunch that was served) and her helpers Regina May, Ginny Sugimoto and Beth Wilson.
