Zelda Foxall presents a Tale of Two Holidays: July 4th and Juneteenth

  • Kitsap Unitarian Universal Fellowship 4418 Perry Avenue Northeast Bremerton, WA, 98310 United States (map)

As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation we have an opportunity to reflect on both holidays. We can remind ourselves that America's journey is a constant work in progress and recommit ourselves to the work that lies ahead. Acknowledging our nation's full and sometimes painful history can ensure liberty for all for the future.

Zelda Foxall has been a professional storyteller since 1995. She is known for her portrayals of historically significant African American Women and how they have overcome tremendous odds of poverty, racism, sexism and ignorance to climb to the top of their respective fields or just step up boldly to change the way things were.
