The theme for June is Living Love Through the Practice of Freedom
Children’s Religious Exploration
The Religious Exploration program continues to lift up the long-loved Unitarian Universalist commitment to “deeds, not creeds” while connecting to the core value of love. The theme this month is The Practice of Freedom. All month long, the children’s program will be looking at and exploring some of the things we may find ourselves trapped in and need to get free from. This month explores freedom from oppression and having to hide who you are.
June 29: Freedom & The Flower Communion: Many Unitarian Universalist congregations have long-standing beloved traditions, this lesson explores how freedom and flower ceremonies are linked. The children will be learning about the Flower Communion so that when the congregation has its Flower Communion they will have a deeper understanding.
