Rev. Victoria Poling presents Gratitude Is Where Generosity Begins
Suppose that one day you receive an unexpected invitation in a small envelope with your name on it. No sender. Would you open it? In the story of “Sophia’s Guest,” teacher Sophia struggles when she receives an invitation from a mysterious guest. She’s a little scared and a little excited: is someone playing a trick on her? Or could this be real? In spite of her fear, she accepts and prepares for the visit. In her gratitude is where her generosity begins.
