Martha Durkee-Neuman presents Building Heaven on Earth, Right Here Right Now

A core piece of our Unitarian Universalist history is a belief that heaven exists in how we create it here on earth, for each other. But what does that really mean? How is our community a microcosm of the heaven we are seeking to build? What does that require of us? Martha Durkee-Neuman (she/her) is a lifelong UU young adult originally from the Columbia River Gorge, now living in Seattle and serving as the Intern Minister at the Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Congregation. Martha previously served as the Director of Religious Education at First Parish in Malden and is a graduate of Harvard Divinity School. She is passionate about interfaith solidarity and transformative justice. She can often be found reading, hiking, and occasionally conducting Zoom finger puppet theater.
