We moved to Bremerton in 1978--a low time for KUUF. Our fellowship president was a high school student, because no one else had been willing to take the position. I attended a few services that fall, but there must not have been a welcoming committee, since none of the ten people who came to services seemed to notice there was a visitor.
But then! At the Christmas Eve service that year, the church (a former saw mill) was full. Candle light filled the room. And people attended! Twenty-five? Maybe even fifty? We met the Seehales, who had a girl our daughter's age and a son our son's age. The service was wonderful! That service made me decide it was worth continuing to attend KUUF.
I am so very happy to get The Candle each week and to see how KUUF is thriving these days!
Happy Holiday Greetings to all!
