Why the Rainbow?
The image and colors of the rainbow are significant
to the Kitsap Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Our Anti-Racism committee uses the rainbow to remind us of the
diversity of the world. As a Unitarian Universalist Welcoming
Congregation the rainbow reminds us of our commitment to the GLBT community.
The children of the Fellowship know the rainbow from the children's version of
the UU Principles called the Rainbow Path.
The words of the Rainbow Path
are:
Red
Respect the importance and value of all
beings |
Orange
Offer fair and kind treatment to all |
Yellow
Yearn to learn throughout life |
Green
Grow by exploring your ideas, and values together |
Blue
Believe in your ideas, and act on
them |
Indigo
Insist on peace, freedom, and justice for all |
Violet
Value our interdependence with nature |
As Unitarian Universalists, we walk the Rainbow Path.
