Homoród
Valley

Our first view of the Homoród
Valley

Homoródszentpál, south of Recsenyéd

Recsenyéd, the village where KUUF's partner church is located.

Project Harvest Hope in Oklánd is an economic development project led by
Rev. Kelemen Levente (pictured) and his wife, Eva. It is overseen by a
Board and Operations Committee. The project includes a bakery, which we
visited. In 2001, a model dairy farm in Karocsyonfalva is becoming a
reality.

Here is some of the bread-making equipment in Project Harvest Hope's
bakery. More information about this project can be found on the
UU Partner Church Council website.

Lake near Homoródszentpál. It was reported that there is a project
underway to help save this man-made lake.

Fields of fall crocus are found in the valley. These beautiful flowers are
"protected".

We visited this new "Old Folk's Home" in Lakod. Twenty-three people live
here, and there is always three staff available to help the the residents.
